University-verified community
Sign-in is gated to a university email, so the community stays scoped to real, verified students on your campus. Everyone you meet is a classmate, not an anonymous stranger.
Trust & Safety
Merge is built so the safe path is the default path. Here is how trust is structured into the experience — from who can join, to who you meet, to who sees your posts.
Sign-in is gated to a university email, so the community stays scoped to real, verified students on your campus. Everyone you meet is a classmate, not an anonymous stranger.
Every member carries a trust score shown on their profile and connection cards. It is shaped by the ratings and reports of the people they actually ride and hang out with.
Rate one another after shared rides and activities. Real reputations give everyone a reason to show up, be on time, and be a good neighbor.
Report a person or interaction by category. Reports are tracked through a resolution lifecycle and lower a reported member's standing in the community.
An activity's group chat unlocks only once it reaches its minimum, and only participants can open it. Private conversations stay with the people actually involved.
Choose who sees each activity or ride — everyone on campus, your friends, or just your close friends. Your audience is your decision, every single post.
Technology can structure trust, but good judgment keeps you safe. A few practices we encourage:
You can report a person or interaction directly in the app. If something feels urgent or you would rather reach us directly, email safety@mergecampus.com. We review reports seriously and take action to protect the community. For general help, see our Support page.
Merge supports coordination between students; it is not a professional transport service, and Merge Campus does not employ drivers or operate vehicles. Please read our Terms of Service for the full picture of how the service works.
